The American Water Works Association (AWWA) celebrates the first full week in May as “Drinking Water Week”, a nationally proclaimed observance. This year, Drinking Water Week is May 6-12, 2018. Since 1994 the City of Hollywood schools participate in the “Drop Savers” Water Conservation Poster Contest sponsored by the Florida Section/AWWA. Dawn “Ali” Parker, Public Utilities Outreach Coordinator, will be presenting the awards at the May 2, 2018 Commission Meeting.
