Explanation:
The Department of Information Technology has determined a need for a Security Engineer through the remaining Fiscal Year 2018.
Section 38.40 (C)(2) of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance exempts contracts for professional services involving peculiar skills, such as systems consultants, from the competitive solicitation process.
On March 1, 2018 six firms were solicited to assess interest and obtain pricing for professional temporary services in the field of Security Engineering: InSight Global, Robert Half, Strategic Staffing, MSI Consulting, K-Force, and Panorama Consulting.
K-Force provided the best qualified candidate to meet Information Technology operational requirements.
By approving this resolution, the city of Hollywood will be able to fill this position without delay.
All applicable procurement Sections will be adhered to in accordance with the City of Hollywood Procurement Ordinance.
Funding for the attached agreement has been appropriated and exists in account number 57.1347.00000.590.003117.
Funding will be only obligated as labor for professional services which are approved to support city projects.
