Explanation:
The Hollywood Housing Authority (“HHA”) presently has one vacancy in the category of Citizen-at-Large and one vacancy in the category of Resident Board Member due to resignation of the incumbents. The term of both of these positions expires June 30, 2018. The HHA acts on time-sensitive matters in the normal course of business, and leaving the positons unfilled puts the Board in jeopardy of not being able to achieve a quorum to conduct business. Therefore, the HHA is requesting to immediately fill the vacancies prior to the expiration of the terms.
The Community Development Division and the Hollywood Housing Authority provided notice to the public regarding these vacancies and solicited interested parties about the opportunity to serve as a Board member for the remainder of these terms.
