Explanation:

The non-profit Community Enhancement Collaboration, Inc. (“CEC”) has provided essential services to the Washington Park community since the organization’s inception in 2004.  CEC has served as a stabilizing force in a previously troubled neighborhood and the organization has been a valuable partner for neighborhood outreach, community empowerment and neighborhood transformation.

On November 19, 2012, the City of Hollywood and CEC entered into an agreement for CEC to provide community services to benefit residents of the Washington Park community. The Lease Agreement expired on November 19, 2017, and the parties desire to execute a new lease.

The attached new Lease Agreement between the City of Hollywood and CEC provides for a lease term of five (5) years with the option to renew for one additional five (5) year term and it has been negotiated and agreed to by the parties subject to approval by the City Commission.
