Explanation:

The City of Hollywood Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts hosted the 62nd annual Candy Cane Parade on Saturday, December 2, 2017 on Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.  The theme of this year's parade was "Gingerbread Jamboree".

Clear skies and a slight breeze welcomed our guests as the annual tradition of ushering in the holiday season along the Broadwalk began. Upwards of 20,000 attendees joined the exciting celebration with about 750 participants in more than 60 parade entries.

As gingerbread houses of all types and sizes with their accompaniment of gingerbread girls, boys, ladies and gentlemen rolled down the Broadwalk, the most difficult job of the evening went to our judges.  We are extremely proud to recognize this year's parade winners.
