Body

Staff Recommends:  Approval of Attached Resolution.

Explanation:

On November 1, 2017 the City Commission passed Resolution R-2017-316 approving an investment of $282,000.00 in Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds for the development by Liberia Economic and Social Development, Inc. (LES) and the Broward Alliance for Neighborhood Development, Inc. (BAND) of twelve (12) affordable townhomes in the Liberia Neighborhood and authorizing execution of an agreement between the City and LES to facilitate the investment.

Exhibit ‘D’ of the Agreement contains a Timetable/Schedule for the project.  Staff has determined that it is necessary to amend the Timetable/Schedule due to the need to revise certain civil engineering plans before the project can be placed on the agenda for consideration by the Development Review Board.  It is appropriate to obtain City Commission approval of the amendment.  The overall term of the Agreement remains the same and is not affected by the amendment.
