Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The Florida Department of Health has grant funding available through the 2017 EMS Matching Grant for the purpose of enhancing pre-hospital emergency medical services.

 

The Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department desires to apply for the 2017 EMS Matching Grant to purchase equipment to enhance pre-hospital emergency medical services.

 

The Florida Department of Health 2017 EMS Matching Grant requires a twenty-five percent (25%) cash match from the local government receiving the grant.  The required match for the 2017 EMS Matching Grant is estimated to be $26,250.00 which will be paid from Account No. - 11.2100.99160.522.006453.

 

If awarded, The FY 2018 Operating Budget for the Special Revenue Fund (Fund 11) will be amended to appropriate the grant funding as detailed in Exhibit 1.
