Staff Recommends:  Approval of the Attached Resolution.

 

Explanation:

The Hollywood Art and Culture Center, Inc., (HACC) currently plans and coordinates performing arts programs at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (“HCPAC”).

 

On November 18, 2015 the City of Hollywood City Commission passed and adopted Resolution R-2015-354 which authorized the City of Hollywood (City) and Hollywood Art and Culture Center, Inc.; to enter into a one-year agreement to plan and coordinate performing arts programs at the HCPAC in the amount of $148,000.00 for the first year, with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.

 

On November 10, 2016, the City Manager authorized the First Amendment to the Agreement for Cultural Arts Programming Services for a one-year period pursuant to Section 38.48(C) (1) of the Purchasing Ordinance of the City of Hollywood.

 

The Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts recommends that the City Commission approve the attached agreement with HACC to continue with the performing arts programs at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center

 

Funding has been appropriated in the City`s FY 2018 budget, account number 01.3167.00000.572.003117.
