Explanation:
Due to scheduling difficulties, various Commission meetings will be changed to allow greater flexibility to the Commission, staff and residents.
The first regular Commission Meeting on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 shall be changed to Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM with citizens' comments at 5:00 PM due to the Fourth of July Holiday.
The second regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 shall be rescheduled to Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM with citizens' comments at 5:00 PM. By moving the meetings during the summer it will allow the Commission, staff and residents more time for preparing the next fiscal year's budget.
The second regular Commission Meeting on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 shall be changed to Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM with citizens' comments at 5:00 PM due to Yom Kippur Holiday.
The second regular Commission Meeting on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 shall be changed to Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM with citizens' comments at 5:00 PM due to the Swearing In Ceremony of the newly elected officials.
The first regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 shall be cancelled.
By either moving or canceling the January meeting will allow the Commission, staff and residents more flexibility in preparing items during the holiday season.
Thereafter, regular meetings of the City Commission shall, unless otherwise provided by Resolution, be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
