Explanation:
The City has used Paul Ryder, Jr. (the “Attorney”) to provide legal services in various labor and employment matters and continues to use him for such matters. The Attorney and the City Attorney have negotiated the attached Contract for Consulting/Professional Services for FY 2018. Under the proposed agreement, payments to the Attorney are based on the hourly rate specified in the agreement, and the total amount to be paid will not exceed $75,000.00.
Section 38.40(C)(2) of the Code of Ordinances exempts from the competitive bid and competitive proposal requirements of the Purchasing Ordinance contracts for professional services.
Funding has been identified and is available in the Fiscal Year 2018 budget in 01.0104.00000.514.003126.
