Explanation:
The Police Department, the Public Utilities Department, the Office of Parking and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts require a contract for Uniformed, Armed and Unarmed Security Guard Services at their facilities.
Bid Number F-4551-17-PB was created and posted in BidSync on March 23rd,2017 for Armed and Unarmed Security Services for an initial term of two (2) years with three (3) one (1) year renewals.
Bid F-4551-17-PB closed April 20th, 2017.

Florida Executive Security was found non responsible due to unfavorable reference checks and the work performed was not similar in size and scope.
AJK Security, LLC was found non responsible due to only providing two (2) of three (3)references, with one reference not being similar in size and scope and the second reference not being able to verify.
Regions Security is the third lowest bidder, but the first vendor who is both responsible and responsive.
Procurement Services recommends awarding BPO XXXXX to Regions Security for the Armed and Unarmed Uniform Security Services for the City of Hollywood.
Regions Security Services, Inc. currently provides security guard services to the City of Hollywood in a satisfactory manner.
The participating Departments and the Director of Procurement and Contract Compliance recommend that the City Commission approve the issuance of the attached Blanket Purchase Order to Regions Security Services, Inc. of Doral, Florida for the initial term of two (2) years for an estimated annual expenditure of $358,903.00.
Award is subject to the City’s receipt and approval of all insurance certificates required by the City’s Risk Manager, and indemnity to the City.
Funding for the attached Blanket Purchase Order has been provided for in the fiscal year 2017 budget in various Account Numbers and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years.
