Explanation:
The Office of Parking requires a maintenance service agreement for the parking access & revenue control system located at the two downtown parking garages (Radius garage, 251 N. 19 Avenue and the Van Buren garage, 251 S. 20 Avenue).

The current equipment was manufactured by DataPark, Inc., and HUB Parking Technology USA, Inc. is the sole executive distributor and equipment maintenance provider for the parking access and revenue control systems in the State of Florida.

Section 38.40 (C)(3) of the Purchasing Ordinance provides that, non-competitive supplies, and single source services available from only one source, such as unique, patented, franchised supplies or services, are exempt from the competitive proposal requirements.

Individuals who have purchased monthly proximity cards which are processed through the DataPark cashiering system have vehicular access to the garages, however, the current system is between nine and fourteen years old and has reached its life expectancy for usage.

The attached technical assistance and maintenance agreement is a full service and maintenance plan for the automated gate and entry system for both facilities and is for a three (3) year period with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods providing all renewals are in the best interest of the City.
