Explanation:
On April 20, 2016, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2016-109 which authorized the execution of the Afterschool Meals Program Sponsor-Site Agreement for Unaffiliated Sites between the City of Hollywood and Flipany, Inc to be the Summer and Aftercare Food Service Program Sponsor for an initial term of one (1) year with three (3) additional one (1) year options to renew.

The initial term of the Agreement will expire on August 31, 2017, and the City and Flipany wish to exercise the second one (1) year renewal option of the Agreement.

The current Agreement provides for only one site for the City's Aftercare Program however, City staff and Flipany desire to expand this program from 1 site to 4 sites which services will be provided at the following City facilities: Kay Gaither, McNicol, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Washington Park Community Centers.

It is anticipated that approximately 400-500 low income children will be served a daily breakfast and lunch at the following locations in the City: Kay Gaither Community Center @ Beverly Park, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, McNicol Community Center and Washington Park Community Center during the summer camp program.

The Food Service Program is available at no cost to the City as DACS/DOH will reimburse Flipany, Inc. for each meal and snack provided for furnishing each meal and snack.
