Explanation:
Chapter 99 of the Code of Ordinances establishes the Municipal Beach regulations. The attached Ordinance seeks City Commission’s approval to amend Chapter 99 of the Code of Ordinances, titled "Municipal Beach", 99.02 section (B) (4) the launching of non-motorized vehicles.
There have been requests from citizens to add a southern non-motorized launch area. City staff has reviewed the current regulations and determined that the regulations as to the location for launching non-motorized vehicles should be expanded.
The City Commission wishes to amend the Code of Ordinances to permit the revisions to Chapter 99; which revise the 99.02 section (B) (4) the launching of non-motorized vehicles between Meade Street and Custer Street, and between Bougainvillea and Azalea Terrace.
