Explanation:
On October 19, 2011, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2011-303 which amended Resolution R-2010-171 to authorize free surface parking in the downtown area (boundaries: west - Dixie Highway, east -17th Avenue, south - Washington Street, north - Taylor Street)
On May 17, 2017, the City Commission expressed a desire to reestablish paid parking in the downtown area and eliminate the three hour free on-street parking program. The attached resolution amends Section 3 of Resolution R-2011-303 to eliminate the three hour free on-street surface parking in parking spaces in the downtown area and amends Exhibit “C” of Resolution Nos. R-2010-171, R-2011-303 and R-2016-184 as it relates to Metered Street and Lot Parking Rates for the downtown area.
