Explanation:
The Parking Division requires an agreement with a qualified firm to provide installation of equipment and services for a new engineered elevator system at the Garfield Parking Garage.
On March 23, 2017, Notice of Bid Availability for RFP-4545-17-JE was posted on the City's Website, advertised and sent to 1,042 firms and viewed by 19 vendors on Bidsync.com in accordance with Section 38.42(A)(1) of the City's Purchasing Ordinance.
RFP-4545-17-JE was opened at 3:00 P.M. on April 13, 2017, and resulted in a response from three (3) firms as follows:
* Maverick United Elevator, LLC. Medley, Florida
* Oracle Elevator Company Fort Lauderdale, Florida
* Otis Elevator Fort Lauderdale, Florida
The evaluation of the proposals was based on the criteria as established in the RFP: Responses to Project Manual; Experience and Qualifications; Capability/References; Cost of System and Local Preference.
The proposals were evaluated by three (3) committee members consisting of the Parking Administrator, Parking Operations Manager and the Assistant Director of Public Works.
After the proposals were evaluated, the resultant scores were compiled to arrive at the rankings, highest score, first choice to third:
* Oracle Elevator Company 265 points
* Otis Elevator 223 points
* Maverick United Elevator, LLC. 190 points
