Explanation:
The roads within the Hollywood Gardens West neighborhood are part of the City's Roadway System. Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (Broward MPO), has committed funding from Federal and State sources to promote Mobility Projects program including sidewalk and bike lane networks which are part of the Complete Streets Initiative. Broward MPO allocated funding for City of Hollywood improvements with a value of approximately $4,500,000.00 ($4.53 million/$4,532,897.00) within their FY 2017-2021 Transportation Improvement Program for a Sidewalk and Bike Lane project within the Hollywood Gardens West neighborhood and portions of Taft Street.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in coordination with the City of Hollywood, and the Broward MPO have developed Construction Documents for the project, held public meetings, and initiated permitting and constructability reviews. FDOT will contract for and construct the improvements including constructing missing sidewalks segments within Hollywood Gardens West and along Taft Street from N. 20th Avenue to N. 14th Avenue, installing bike lanes on existing pavement along Glenn and Columbus Parkways, installing nineteen drainage inlets with drain fields and re-grading as needed to create bio swales and pedestrian lighting improvements at the intersection of SR7 and Johns...
