Explanation:
It is in the best interest of the City to enter into an agreement with multiple consultants to provide surveying and mapping services that are required to implement future projects in an expeditious fashion. Services to be accomplished under this contract will include, but not limited to, various, but not as yet identified design surveys, construction layouts, boundary surveys, preparation of sketches and legal descriptions, mapping, AutoCAD drafting, calculations and other related survey and mapping projects.

Consulting services will be requested on an "as needed-when needed" basis and the initial term of the continuing contract will be for three (3) years with the right to renew the contract for two (2) subsequent one-year terms based on satisfactory performance and mutual agreement. The City has followed the procedures established in the Florida Statutes, Section 287.055, Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act, to procure services from such a consulting firm. In accordance with the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act, the City advertised for professional services from surveying and mapping consulting firms, and a Statement of Qualifications was received from thirteen (13) firms.

Upon review of the Statement of Qualifications, the firms were ranked based upon specific selection criteria, and an Evaluation Committee, comprised of in-house professionals, more specifically; the City Engineer from the Department of Development Services, one (1) Senior Project Manager from the Community Redevelopment Agency and one (1) Project Manager from the Department ...
