Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution

 

 

Explanation:

Pursuant to City of Hollywood Ordinance Section 33.025(R)(7), the Employees’ Retirement Fund Board of Trustees possesses the responsibility for the administration of the Fund, including the determination of policy and the maintenance of effective operating procedures.

 

Section 33.025(R)(1) provides that the Board consists of seven (7) members: the City Manager or their designee; two (2) citizen members who shall be residents of the City appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the City Commission; two (2) employee members with at least six (6) years of credited service, elected by and representing the employees; one (1) member representing retirees; and one (1) member with accounting or investment experience representing employees whose positions are not included in a collective bargaining unit. 

 

The appointment term for one (1) of the citizen members expires June 30, 2017.

 

The terms of office of the citizen member trustees and the employee-elected trustees shall be three (3) years.
