Explanation:
This item involves installation of decorative art-wrap coverings on County-owned traffic signal controller cabinets. The project is funded by the Community Redevelopment Agency. As such, the design of the art-wraps depicts imagery intended to promote the municipal Beach and Broadwalk. Art-wraps are proposed for twenty-four (24) traffic signal controller cabinets at the locations depicted in Exhibit "A". Project management is provided by the Development Services Department
Competitive bids were solicited for fabrication and installation of the wraps and the lowest total cost is $9,576.00 by Car Wrap Solutions/Perfect Image Signs of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Wraps will be installed using best industry practices and life expectancy is five years. The material being used has an anti-graffiti coating and is cleanable without damaging the graphic. Cabinets wrapped previously have been less prone to graffiti tagging. Code Compliance staff will abate any graffiti on an as-needed basis.
Prior to commencing the project, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) must approve the proposed designs for any cabinet located within FDOT right-of-way and a Community Aesthetic Feature Agreement (CAFA) encompassing these locations must be executed between t...
