Explanation:
The American Water Works Association (AWWA) celebrates the first full week in May as "Drinking Water Week". Drinking Water Week is a nationally proclaimed observance. This year, Drinking Water Week is being celebrated May 7-13, 2017. The City of Hollywood Public Services Department provides the residents with safe and clean drinking water 24 hours a day, 365 days a year utilizing state-of-the-art facilities. Drinking Water Week is also celebrated with the “Drop Savers Water Conservation Poster Contest program involving City of Hollywood schools by educating the students on the importance of conserving drinking water.
In recognition of Drinking Water Week, May 7-13, 2017, a Proclamation will be presented to the Public Utilities Department.
