Explanation:

Layne Heavy Civil, Inc. and the City of Hollywood, Florida entered into an agreement relating to the Water Main Replacement Program between Johnson Street and Taft Street and between North 76th Terrace and North 66th Avenue (City Project No. 14-5125).

Layne intends to assign the agreement to Reynolds Construction, LLC, but the agreement prohibits assignment by Layne without the City’s prior written consent.

While the assignment will transfer all of Layne’s rights and obligations under the agreement to Reynolds, it will not release Layne from its obligations under the agreement.
