Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities may, from time to time, request the assistance of Lighthouse to attend meetings, provide analyses or otherwise support the Department in utility rate and financial matters.
Such utility rate and financial matters may include financial analyses, rate ordinance reviews, rate comparison analyses, agreement interpretation analyses, and other miscellaneous tasks.
The Department of Public Utilities requested a proposal from Lighthouse Utility Consulting to provide miscellaneous consulting services.
Lighthouse Utility Consulting and the City of Hollywood have a Professional Services Agreement for Consulting Services, which was authorized by City Commission Resolution R-2015-250 on August 26, 2015.
The Administration recommends that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City Officials to execute the attached Authorization to Proceed for Work Order No. LH-17-02 between Lighthouse Utility Consulting and the City of Hollywood, together with such nonmaterial changes as may be subsequently agreed to by the City Attorney, for a not to exceed amount of $100,000.00.
It is necessary to amend the approved FY2017 Capital Improvements Program and allocate funding in the amount of $100,000.00 for the miscellaneous utility rate and financial consulting services as set forth in Exhibit A, attached.
