Explanation:
The City of Hollywood was invited to participate in “Broward Reads In Your City”. This initiative is an outreach of Broward Reads: Campaign for Grade Level Reading, part of the national collaboration of foundations, nonprofits, states and communities focused on the number one predictor of school success: third grade reading. The goal is to unite all of Broward’s 31 cities to make grade level reading a priority throughout Broward County.
Broward County Commissioner Beam Furr is the co-chair for the Broward Reads - Campaign for Grade Level Reading, Children’s Services Government Affairs Manager Robert Holroyd, and School Board of Broward County Director of Early Learning and School Readiness Dr. Lorie Canning will accept the proclamation.
