Explanation:
The City of Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) desires to enter into a contract with an Architectural Consulting Firm in order to provide architectural/engineering services for the design of lifeguard towers ensuring quality construction, delivered in a reasonable time, utilizing cost effective design and construction methodology. Services to be accomplished under this contract will include, but not be limited to, schematic drawings, feasibility studies, cost estimates, architectural and construction documents drawings.
On September 19, 2016, the CRA in accordance with Florida Statute Section 287.055 the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act, advertised a Request for Qualifications for Professional Services from architectural and engineering services consulting firms.
On October 17, 2016, Statement of Qualifications were received from the following five (5) firms:
1. Currie Sowards Aguilera Architects
2. CPZ Architects, Inc.
3. Brooks+Scarpa Architects
4. Rene Gonzalez Architect
5. Claro Development Solutions, Inc
Upon review of the Statements of Qualifications, the firms were ranked based upon selection criteria, and an Evaluation Committee comprised of CRA and City in-house professionals, more specifically; one (1) Director (CRA), one (1) Deputy Director (CRA), one (1) Assistant Director (City), one (1) Engineering Support Services Manager (City), one (1) Marine Safety Chief (City) and one (1) Professional Architect (CRA), conducted oral interviews with the following three (3) highest ranked firms:
1. Currie Sowards Aguilera Architects
