Explanation:
On September 21, 2016, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution R-2016-237 which authorized the allocation of CDBG funds to be awarded to the following Public Service agencies:

1. Hispanic Unity for the Economic Development Services in an amount not to exceed $12,000.00;

2. Hope South Florida for the Live Hope- Living Independently Via Employment Program in an amount not to exceed $10,714.00;

3. Impact Broward for the Foster Grandparent Program in an amount not to exceed $10,369.00;

4. Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation for the City of Hollywood Russell Reading Rooms Program in an amount not to exceed $18,100.00;

5 Second Chance Society for the Hand-Up Program in an amount not to exceed $8,357.00;

6. Washington Park Childcare Center for the Subsidized Early Childhood Education and Family Strengthening Programs for Low Income Families in the City of Hollywood in an amount not to exceed $5,518.00.

On October 19, 2016, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution R-2016-309, which approved reducing the advance debt service payment on the City's Section 108 Loan by $75,000.00 and allocated $75,000.00 to the six CDBG-funded Public Service agencies described herein.

On November 9, 2016 the Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB) held a public hearing to consider disbursement of the additional funding.
