Explanation:
The City of Hollywood, Florida ("City") is participating with Broward County, Florida ("County") in the Integrated Water Resources Plan (IWRP) for a 50% cost-sharing grant for Reuse extension line West Hollywood.

As part of the IWRP program, it is necessary for the County and the City to enter into an Interlocal Agreement to be recorded in the Public Records of Broward County, Florida.

The City operates an existing 4 mgd reuse system at the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant which uses treated effluent from Davie and Cooper City that is low in chlorides.

This project will expand the City's existing reuse distribution system to convey more than 200,000 gallons per day of reuse for landscape irrigation of large green areas in West Hollywood and will reduce the volume of water that is currently being withdrawn from the Biscayne Aquifer for that purpose.

The Interlocal Agreement grant requires a 50% cost-sharing match from the local government receiving the grant.

The funding for the Reuse Extension Line was included in the FY 2017 Capital Improvements Program that was approved via Resolution No. R-2016-285.

The required match for the Reuse Extension Line project is estimated to be $132,000.00 which will be available in an Account number to be created by Financial Services.
