Explanation:
Resolution No. R-2004-350, approved on October 20, 2004, authorized the execution of a Tower Siting Agreement ("Agreement") between MetroPCS California / Florida, Inc. and the City of Hollywood for location of a wireless communications system on the roof top of City Hall at 2600 Hollywood Boulevard.

Subsequently on July 18, 2012, the City Commission approved Resolution No. R-2012-219 authorizing execution of a First amendment To Tower Siting Agreement between MetroPCS Florida, LLC, successor in interest by assignment from MetroPCS California/Florida, Inc., that allowed an increase from three to six antennae.

Then, on March 19th 2014 the City authorized the execution of a Second Amendment to the Tower Siting Agreement between MetroPCS, LLC, providing for twelve roof top antennae;

The agreement expired on November 1st 2014, and in late 2015 MetroPCS was contacted to negotiate a renewal, MetroPCS is requesting the allowed for renewal of 10 years (expiring on October 21, 2024) and amending the agreement with an additional ten year term pending additional negotiations 90 days prior to expiration of the current renewal. The existing 5% annual escalator is being maintained.

The expiration of this agreement did occur during the transition of Administration within the Information Technology Department in 2014. Although this was identified in 2015, there were delays due to the changes in representatives from MetroPCS during negotiations.
