Explanation:
Due to scheduling difficulties, various Commission meetings will be changed to allow greater flexibility to the Commission, staff and residents.
The first regular Commission Meeting on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 shall be changed to Monday, July 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM with citizens’ comments at 5:00 PM.
The second regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 shall be rescheduled to Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM with citizens’ comments at 5:00 PM.
By moving the meetings during the summer it will allow the Commission, staff and residents more time for preparing the next fiscal year’s budget.
The first regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 shall have citizens’ comments at 5:00 PM.
The second regular meeting on December 20, 2017 shall be cancelled.
The first regular meeting on January 3, 2018 shall be cancelled.
By either moving or canceling the December and January meetings will allow the Commission, staff and residents more flexibility in preparing items during the holiday season.
Thereafter, regular meetings of the City Commission shall, unless otherwise provided by Resolution, be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
