Body

Staff Recommends: Approval of the ordinance.

Explanation:

This Ordinance seeks to amend the Zoning and Land Development Code to provide for a definition of Mural and Supergraphic, expand the CRA Mural Program Area to include both CRA districts, prohibit the installation of Murals in single family neighborhoods, and to establish review of Mural applications (outside of the CRA Districts) by the Public Art Advisory Committee. A separate Resolution will be presented to the Commission which will outline the process by which a Mural application is reviewed, will change the name of the Artwork Selection Committee to Public Art Committee and create categories to ensure members have experience, expertise and education in cultural arts.
