Explanation:
The area of Fillmore, Taylor, Jackson, Madison, Jefferson and Adams Streets between Federal Highway and Dixie Highway in the Downtown CRA district has been identified as having inadequate street lighting. Additionally, since the CRA is providing lighting improvements this area of the Downtown CRA district, the Police Department requested adding conduits at Fillmore, Taylor, Jackson, Madison, Jefferson and Adams Street for closed circuit cameras.
The CRA, through the Department of Development Services - Engineering/Transportation and Mobility Division, developed plans and specifications for the street lighting and a project including conduits for closed circuit cameras and on Friday, August 12, 2016, Notification of Project No. 16-004 Phase II was electronically advertised online via BidSync. Five (5) bids were received and opened on Friday, September 9, 2016, as follows:
