Explanation:
Thousands of citizens in Florida are afflicted with leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) exits to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients, and has designated September 2016 as Blood Cancer Awareness Month. The LLS requested a proclamation to assist in their efforts to increase awareness of the urgent need to fund research for breakthrough therapies and access to quality, affordable care as well as advocating for bills to limit out-of-pocket costs.
