Explanation:
The area of Buchanan and Pierce Streets between Federal Highway and Dixie Highway in the Downtown CRA district has been identified as having inadequate street lighting. Additionally, since the CRA is providing lighting improvements in the area of Buchanan Street between Federal Highway and Dixie Highway in the Downtown CRA district, the Police Department requested the addition of conduits at Buchanan Street for closed circuit cameras.
The CRA, through its Department of Public Works - Engineering and Construction Services Division, developed plans and specifications for the street lighting and a project including conduits for closed circuit cameras and on Thursday, May 26, 2016, Notification of Project No. 16-004 was electronically advertised online via BidSync. Four (4) bids were received and opened on Thursday, June 16, 2016, as follows:

The Executive Director of the Downtown CRA recommends award of the bid to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder, Imperial Electric Inc. for the amount of $191,900.00.
