Explanation:
The City of Hollywood, Florida owns the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club located at 400 Entrada Drive.

Since 2006, JCD Sports Group (JCD) has managed Orangebrook Golf and Country Club.

The existing management agreement and addendum thereto between the City and JCD expires on September 30, 2016 and does not provide for any renewals.

Under the direction of the City Commission, City staff has been asked to complete a fiscal impact analysis, an environmental assessment, a community charrette and a statistically sound survey to determine the future of Orangebrook Golf and Country Club in the City's golf system.

The findings of these actions will be reported to the City Commission for discussion and determination on how to move forward with the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club golf course.

As the timeframe for completion of the items set forth above will take a certain amount of time, the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts staff are recommending that the City Commission extend the existing management agreement with JCD for a two (2) year period with an option to renew for an additional two (2) year period at the sole discretion of the City which should provide an adequate timeframe to act on the City Commissions request.
