Explanation:
At the June 1, 2016 Commission meeting, the commission asked staff to revise the ordinance regarding the regulations for tents and beverage/food on the beach. City and CRA staff reviewed Chapter 99, City of Hollywood Code of Ordinances which establishes the permitted and prohibited activities on Hollywood Beach.
Hollywood Beach is a tourist attraction and has been undergoing redevelopment.
Due to the revitalization of Hollywood Beach, City staff along with the Beach CRA have determined that the regulations regarding Hollywood Beach need to be revised.
The attached proposed Ordinance sets forth the City Commission’s request along with some other revisions City and CRA staff determined should be revised.
