The American Water Works Association (AWWA) celebrates the first full week in May as “Drinking Water Week”, a nationally proclaimed observance. This year, Drinking Water Week is May 1 - 7, 2016. Since 1994 the City of Hollywood schools participate in the “Drop Savers” Water Conservation Poster Contest sponsored by the Florida Section/AWWA. The Director of Public Utilities will be introducing Dawn “Ali” Parker, Regulatory Compliance Officer, who will be presenting the Awards at the May 4, 2016 Commission Meeting.
