Florida State Statutes require that a local government use and follow certain auditor selection procedures when selecting an auditor to conduct the required annual financial audit. Among the required procedures that a local government must observe is the establishment of an audit committee to assist the local government in the selection of an auditor to conduct the annual audit and prepare the audited financial statements.
This Resolution sets forth certain provisions relating to the purpose of the audit committee, the membership of the audit committee, the procedures under which the audit committee shall conduct its work, and the length of term of the audit committee.
