Explanation:
The Hollywood CRA currently provides Community Bus Service throughout the CRA district via the Trolley services. The Broward County Transportation Community Bus Service Grant provides funding to transportation programs and currently has funding available to assist local communities.
The City is seeking ratification of an application for the FY 2015/2016 Community Bus Service Grant from Broward County Transit (BCT) for local public transit service in the amount of $15.00 per service hour per route on behalf of the City of Hollywood.
The Broward County Transportation Community Bus Service Grant requires no match from the local government receiving the grant. The City has been awarded the grant and seeks authorization to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with Broward County for Community Bus Service. A separate ILA with the CRA, will be executed to allow the CRA to provide community bus services and to meet all the City's requirements in accepting the grant.
