Staff Recommends: Approval of the Attached Resolution.

Explanation:

The City’s Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department (“the Department”) is in the process of repairing its emergency service vehicles.

During the repair timeframe, it is desirable to assure optimal service coverage whereby the Department desires to obtain a Fire Engine from Ten-8 Fire Equipment Inc. (“Ten-8”).

Ten-8 has agreed to allow the Department to temporarily use fire rescue and emergency service equipment and/or vehicles as needed by the City.

The parties desire to execute the attached Agreement for the utilization of Ten-8’s vehicles and/or equipment.

The attached Agreement requires the City to assume liability and, to the extent permitted by law, indemnify Ten-8 as well as self-insure its respective interests in the equipment and/or vehicles.

The City Commission of the City of Hollywood deems it in the best interests of the residents of the City to enter into the Agreement.
