Explanation:
National Community Development Week is scheduled for March 28 - April 2- 2016. The City of Hollywood recognizes that the Community Development Block Grant Program is a partnership of Federal and Local government. This week provides an opportunity to showcase CDBG funded projects and encourage our congressional representatives to continue supporting the Community Development Block Grant Program.
The Department of Development Services, would like to take the opportunity during Community Development week to emphasize the importance of Community Development Block Grant funds in our neighborhoods and recognize our partners that have worked with us throughout the year.
The Department is committed to enhancing its outreach to the community by working with our partners to assist in promoting and marketing the various housing and social service initiatives. We will continue to empower neighborhood associations by providing adaptable resources to allow participation in the City’s redevelopment activities. The celebration of National Community Development Week gives the City an opportunity to highlight the partnerships established with neighborhoods, non-profit service providers, and program supporters.
