Explanation:
On February 17, 2016, the City Commission passed and adopted Ordinance No. PO-2016-01 which created Section 94.026 to establish guidelines for Fire Watch Details.
Section 94.026(E) expressly states that all costs for recovery of a Fire Watch shall be established by Resolution of the City Commission.
Five (5) local Fire Rescue Departments were surveyed as to the rate they charged for a Fire Watch detail. The rate of $45.00 is comparable to the survey results and the prior rate that the City of Hollywood was charging.
