Explanation:
Due to scheduling difficulties, various Commission meetings will be changed to allow greater flexibility to the Commission, staff and residents.
The first regular Commission Meeting on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 shall be changed to Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM with citizens' comments at 5:00 PM.
The second regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 shall be rescheduled to Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 1:00 PM with citizens' comments at 5:00 PM.
By moving the meetings during the summer it will allow the Commission, staff and residents more time for preparing the next fiscal year's budget.
The second regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 shall be rescheduled to Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 9:00 AM with citizens' comments at 5:00 PM. This rescheduled date is due to a conflict with the National League of Cities Conference, in addition to the City not receiving the November 8, 2016 certified elections results from the Broward County Supervisor of Election until Friday, November 18, 2016. The rescheduled date will allow the newly elected officials to be sworn in.
The first regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 shall be changed to Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM with citizens' comments at 5:00 PM.
The second regular meeting on December 21, 2016 shall be cancelled.
The first regular meeting on January 4, 2017 shall be cancelled.
