Explanation:

On January 7, 2013 an agreement was awarded to Gino Italian American Deli & Meat Market, Inc. for a one (1) year period with an option to renew for two additional one (1) year periods.   On January 14, 2014, the City Manager approved the first renewal of the agreement for a one (1) year period.   On December 23, 2014, the City Manager approved the final one (1) year renewal period.  

 

Procurement Services staff met with Mr. Gino Paparella, the owner of Gino Italian American Deli & Meat Market, Inc., and he would like to continue the business relationship with the City by providing quality limited food services at the snack bar area on the second floor of City Hall on a long term basis.  

 

Purchase Order 38.40(C)(8) provides that contracts which the City Manager is otherwise authorized to award, he may waive competitive bidding and competitive proposals when it is in the best interest of the City.

 

The term of this agreement shall be for an initial one (1) year period from January 6, 2016 through January 5, 2017 and may be renewed for ten (10) additional one (1) year terms upon mutual agreement of the parties.  The City reserves the right to terminate this agreement immediately with or without cause upon written notice to the Contractor, such notice will not be required to state the reason(s) of termination.
