Explanation:
The City Commission supports the completion of missing sidewalk networks and designated bicycle lanes along the City's roadway system to provide safe pedestrian and bicycle pathways to protect residents from the traveling public, and in furtherance of these initiatives, has enacted legislation embracing the "Complete Streets" concept in support of these mobility initiatives.

The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (Broward MPO) obtains federal funding to be appropriated towards mobility enhancement projects. Through the Department of Public Work's efforts, the Broward MPO designated full project federal funding towards the Hollywood Gardens West Sidewalk and Bike Project No. 434679-52-01, providing for the construction of all missing sidewalk networks within the Hollywood Gardens West neighborhood which spans from Johnson Street to Hollywood Boulevard and US441 to 56th Avenue, together with the construction of bike lanes along:

? Columbus Parkway and Glenn Parkway within Hollywood Gardens West, Fillmore Street, 58th Avenue, Lincoln Street and Polk Street within the Hollywood Gardens West neighborhood;
? Taft Street from 20th Ave to 14th Ave (sidewalk infill and bike sharrow)
