Explanation:

The City of Hollywood (the “City”) is certified by the State of Florida as a workers’ compensation self-insurer and as a certified self-insurer the City is subject to annual assessments by the Special Disability Trust Fund and the Workers’ Compensation Administration Trust Fund.  Each year the Legislature specifies the rate of assessment for each fund with the assessments being based on various factors including payroll and loss experience that are reported annually by the City to the State of Florida. 

 

The total assessment for Fiscal Year 2016 is $59,980.57, which will be paid in four installments throughout the fiscal year.
