Explanation:
The City's Fire Department has been authorized as a subgrantee to receive Emergency Medical Services ("EMS") County Grant Program Funds in the approximate amount of $2,500.00 from the State of Florida, Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services ("DOH") for improvement and expansion of pre-hospital emergency medical services in Broward County.
As stipulated in the grant award, the City of Miramar is the lead administrative agency responsible for securing these funds to address the exchange of information between pre-hospital providers and hospitals specified in said grant.
These grant funds will be used to defray the cost of participating agencies purchasing a data interface developed by ESO Solutions called Health Data Exchange (HOE) and is a bi-directional data exchange program that takes the data from any pre-hospital electronic patient care reporting software, translates, and transfers the data to the hospital patient reporting software.
