Explanation:
The City is presently evaluating redevelopment options for 22 acres of the 32 acre HIAD site on South Park Road. Previous environmental assessments have identified contaminants of concern (COCs) in soil (benzoapyrene toxic equivalents, arsenic, lead and dioxins) and in ground water (arsenic) at concentrations above cleanup target levels. Our consultant Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. is preparing an engineering feasibility study for the redevelopment of the site. The feasibility study will evaluate the geotechnical, environmental, economic and planning aspects of various development options.
