Explanation:
The City of Hollywood entered into a parking license agreement with the South Broward Hospital District d/b/a Memorial Healthcare System ("Memorial") on October 15, 2008, by Resolution Number R-2008-319 for a period of two (2) years which expired on November 4, 2010.
The City of Hollywood renewed the agreement for a second two (2) year term on October 20, 2010, by Resolution Number R-2010-304 which expired on November 4, 2012.
The City of Hollywood renewed the agreement for a three (3) year term based on the rental rate of $23,856.00 per year on November 7, 2012, by Resolution Number R-2012-350 which will expire on November 4, 2015.
The agreement allows Memorial to use eighty (80) parking spaces at the Washington Park Community Center parking area, located at 5199 Pembroke Road.
Memorial has expressed its desire to exercise its option to renew the first of the two 3-year renewal periods commencing on November 5, 2015 and ending on November 4, 2018 at a proposed rental rate of $25,048.80.
After this term, one 3-year renewal term will remain at a proposed rental rate of $26,301.24 per year commencing on November 5, 2018 and ending on November 4, 2021.
Memorial is self-insured pursuant to Chapter 768.16(5) Florida State Statutes in regard to tort liability and shall provide documentation evidencing coverage for the resultant uses in the minimum amount of $200.000.00.
