Explanation:

The Police Department has a CCTV program presently underway.  North Surf Road is now the first phase for installation.  Ten (10) Concrete poles will be installed along North Surf Road, one (1) concrete pole along A1A at Elm Street and one (1) black metal pole at A1A and Forest Street.  Electrical power will be brought to all locations in preparation for the installation of the cameras by another contractor. The construction documents were prepared by a consultant and the Notice to Bidders was issued online via BidSync on July 7, 2015.  The construction documents were viewed by thirty-two (32) vendors and eight (8) vendors downloaded the Project Manual and drawings. One (1) bid was received and publicly opened on July 29, 2015.  The responsive bid is shown on the attached Bid Tabulation Sheet.  The administration found the bid submitted by Imperial Electrical, Inc., to be responsive and responsible and recommend the award of this Contract in the amount of $65,000.00. This project was approved in the FY 2015 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is available in account no. 34.2015.15500.521.006301.
