Staff Recommends: Approval of Attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

On May 28, 2015, the City of Hollywood's Community Development Advisory Board made final funding recommendations for various sub-grantees to provide public services with the city of Hollywood.  In accordance with the City's citizen participation process approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City Commission shall consider and approve the Community Development Advisory Board's funding recommendations and execute Agreements with the following sub-grantees:

 

1.                     Hispanic Unity for the Center for Working Families Employment Program in an amount not to exceed $12,000.00;

 

2.                     Hope South Florida for the LIVE Hope- Living Independently via Employment Program in an amount not to exceed $12,000.00;

 

3.                     Impact Broward for the Foster Grandparent Program in an amount not to exceed $10,600.00;

 

4.                     Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation for the City of Hollywood Russell Reading Rooms Program in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00;

 

5.                     Second Chance Society for the Hand-Up Program in an amount not to exceed $12,500.00;

 

6.                     Washington Park Childcare Center for the Subsidized Early Childhood Education and Family Strengthening Programs for Low Income Families in the City of Hollywood in an amount not to exceed $9,900.00.
